Its deemed as a trial by the media, Oscar Pistorius the 'blade runner' shocked the world after allegedly shooting his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on valentines day .

He made his second court appearance yesterday , in Pretoria After a brief hearing, the magistrate agreed to a request from the prosecution to postpone the hearing until August the 19th  which happens to be the birthday of the late Reeva Steenkamp. According to  Magistrate Daniel Thulare he was unimpressed by the amount of attention the press has given the case. He said: “There seems to be somewhat of a trial by the media”. This comes after photographs were leaked by SkyNews the British broadcaster days before his trial.  According to BBC news Pistorius's family said they were "shaken" by leaked, graphic photos published by Sky News, which showed the bathroom where 29-year-old Reeva Steenkamp was killed. Police said they were "disgusted" by the leak. 

 For many South Africans the news of such a sporting hero shocked the nation, the prosecution has accused him of schedule 6 premeditated murder stating that he intentionally killed her after a fight. According to Pistorius he believed that there was an intruder in the house, he was left vulnerable because he had no prosthetic legs he reached for his gun and went to the bathroom and shot, it was only after that he realized that Reeva was not on the bed and realized it was her and broke the door down, he carried her down and called for help bu she died in his arms. At the end of of this horror the only person that knows what went down is Oscar, its tragedy that has affected many lives, I hope that the truth will prevail and that all will work out for the best!
